Midlothian Association of Play (MAP)
Midlothian Association of Play (MAP) works to ensure that children in Midlothian can enjoy more and better play opportunities in their communities.
Midlothian Playbase aim to provide a range of equipment which is intended to provide pre-school children with stimulating resources to encourage their education through play.
Play Scotland works to promote the importance of play for all children and young people, and campaigns to create increased play opportunities in the community.
Play Therapy Base
The aim of the service is to provide children aged 3 to 14 years with a child-centred therapeutic resource close to their local communities in Midlothian, East Lothian and Edinburgh.

PSE:UK is a major collaboration between the University of Bristol, Heriot-Watt University, The Open University, Queen's University Belfast, University of Glasgow and the University of York working with the National Centre for Social Research and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency.
Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation
The Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation identifies small area concentrations of multiple deprivation across all of Scotland in a consistent way. It allows effective targeting of policies and funding where the aim is to wholly or partly tackle or take account of area concentrations of multiple deprivation.
