HM Revenue & Customs provides guidance for trustees of charities, any employees of a charity and volunteers who:

to claim tax reliefs or to exert control over spending the charity's funds.

Arrow Icon     Institute of Fundraising - lots of guidance on fundraising good practice, including the Code of Fundraising Practice.  There is also a section for small charities (note, however, that some  charity law guidance may refer only to England and Wales).   There is also an office in Edinburgh and occasional events in Scotland.
