HM Revenue & Customs provides guidance for trustees of charities, any employees of a charity and volunteers who:

to claim tax reliefs or to exert control over spending the charity's funds.

FUNDING AND FUNDRAISING

The Community Toolkit contains lots of useful information including guidelines for budgeting, applying for funding etc, together with a database of funders.  In addition, the following websites may be of use:

Arrow Icon     Institute of Fundraising - lots of guidance on fundraising good practice, including the Code of Fundraising Practice.  There is also a section for small charities (note, however, that some  charity law guidance may refer only to England and Wales).   There is also an office in Edinburgh and occasional events in Scotland.
