OTHER SOURCES OF TRAINING
There are a number of charities and social enterprises that provide tailored training for the voluntary/social enterprise sector. If you can't find the training that your are seeking for free, thesse are a good starting point for 'paid for' training. Child Poverty Action Group - CPAG provide a wide range of high quality benefits and tax credits training courses.
Deaf Action - Deaf Action provide SQA British Sign Language courses, and other training.
Evaluation Support Scotland - ESS run a range of workshops and events aimed at voluntary organisations.
East and Midlothian Public Protection Training Calendar - The East and Midlothian Public Protection Office has set up a Public Protection website which includes sections on Child Protection; Violence Against Women and Girls; Adult Support and Protection; and Offender Management. It also includes a very useful multi-agency Training Calendar.
Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability - SCLD work alongside people with learning disabilities and family carers to develop and deliver a wide ranging programme of traning courses.
Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations - SCVO is a major organiser of training courses for the voluntary sector in Scotland.
