Community Health Partnership

Midlothian Health & Social Care Integration Partnership

A new Health and Social Care Partnership is now responsible for planning health and care services for the adult Midlothian population.   They have now produced a Midlothian Strategic Commissioning Plan for Health and Care Services 2015-2018 following extensive consultation with members of the public, voluntary sector, etc.

At present services for Children and Young People are not included but this may change in the future.

The Midlothian Integration Scheme has been approved and passed through the formal parliamentary process and was formally established on 27 June 2015.

There is information on the Health and Social Care Integration Partnership on the  Midlothian Council website http://www.midlothian.gov.uk/info/1347/social_care_and_health/1421/health_and_social_care_integration  including the very useful draft “Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership Easy Read Summary”.

Services included in the Plan include:

The Midlothian Health and Social Care Integration Partnership was controlled by a Shadow Board up untill July 2015 when it became a full Board.

The Voluntary Sector Forum is represented on this Board by Ruth McCabe, Alzheimer Scotland.

There is a team of staff (from both Midlothian Council and Health) working for the Partnership, led by the Health and Social Care Director, Eihblin McHugh.
