Supporting and representing the Third Sector in Midlothian

Midlothian Voluntary Action (MVA) provides support, guidance and representation for third sector organisations working in Midlothian.

Got an idea?

Perhaps you’ve been mulling over an idea for a while and have finally decided to do something about it, or maybe an issue in your community has been on your mind and you want to take action to make it better.

or Are you a Community Group or an established Organisation?

We are here to help. Among other things, we offer:

  • One to one consultations to talk ideas through.
  • Advice about who else to connect with to take things forward.
  • Help to identify a suitable legal structure and governance framework.
  • Information about how to source funding.
  • Regular training and development opportunities.

Midlothian Voluntary Action is part of Midlothian Third Sector Interface (TSI). The TSI also consists of Volunteer Midlothian and the Social Enterprise Alliance Midlothian. On this website you will find separate pages for each different part of the TSI.

“It’s great having a partnership organisation to turn to in uncertain times – we all need support and advice to develop our services. MVA provides a voice for the third sector in Midlothian and has helped us a lot.”
